Oaxaca ~ Mexico :: Part 1

I’m currently updating my www website which is in dire need of it and has been for some time. As I’m digging through my archives I’m finding some pretty fab stuff that I haven’t shown before so thought I would start putting a selection up on my blog.

I was in Oaxaca in western Mexico during the Day of the Dead festival in 2009 (or was it 2010?!) and on one of those days I decided to shoot only in black and white. Here are some street scenes….

    • Street photography is difficult because you are constantly requiring peoples’ permission either verbal or by feel, to take their photograph. It’s daunting if you’re not confident in yourself, what you’re doing and why you’re there photographing. Those are the 3 things to start with then you can go out with confidence. The more you do it the better you will get!
